Eligibility Criteria for VMOU Admission 2023
Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria prescribed below should only apply for VMOU Admission 2023:
Undergraduate courses:
- BA: The candidates should have cleared their class 12th exam to be eligible for BA degree program.
- B.Com: A pass in class 12th exam preferably with Commerce stream is required.
- B.Sc: Those who have passed their class 12th exam preferably with Science stream can apply.
- Bachelor of Journalism: Applicants with any graduation degree can apply for Bachelor of Journalism course.
- Bachelor of Library and Information Science: The candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH candidates) or a master’s degree with diploma in library & information science or 2 years of relevant experience.
- BBA: Candidates who have cleared their class 12th exam can apply for BBA admission.
- BCA: The applicants should have passed their class 12th exam in order to apply for BCA degree program.
- Bachelor of Social Work: Candidates with a pass in class 12th exam can apply for Bachelor of Social Work course.
- B.Ed: Trained in-service teachers who hold a bachelor’s and/ or a master’s degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities/ Commerce with not less than 50% marks or a BE/ B.Tech degree with at least 55% marks can apply. A pass in BSTC/ D.El.Ed program conducted by NCTE is also required.
Postgraduate courses:
- MA: The candidates should hold a BA degree in relevant discipline or its equivalent degree.
- M.Sc: Applicants with a B.Sc degree in relevant discipline or its equivalent degree can apply.
- M.Com: Candidates holding any bachelor’s degree (preferably B.Com) are eligible for M.Com degree program.
- Master of Journalism: A Bachelor of Journalism degree is required to be eligible for Master of Journalism degree course.
- Master of Library and Information Science: A Bachelor of Library and Information Science degree is required to be eligible for Master of Library and Information Science degree course.
- MCA: Those with a BCA/ B.Sc/ B.Com/ BA degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for reserved category) and Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level are eligible.
- Master of Social Work: A Bachelor of Social Work degree is required to be eligible for Master of Social Work degree course.
- MBA: Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree with 50% marks or master’s or bachelor’s degree with three years of supervisory/ managerial/ professional experience or professional degree in engineering/ technology/ medicine/ architecture/ law or professional qualification in accountancy/ cost and work accountancy/ company secretaryship etc.
VMOU Application Form 2023
The application form for VMOU Admission 2023 will be released through online mode. Candidates can obtain the application form by visiting the official website of the university www.vmou.ac.in.
- Candidates will be asked to provide their basic personal, academic, contact and other details into the application form.
- Photograph and signature of the candidates in scanned format should also be uploaded into the application form.
- After providing all the details correctly into the application form, the candidates can submit it online.
- Along with the application form, the candidates will also be required to submit a specified amount of application fee.
- Upon successful submission of the application form, the candidates should take its printout and keep it safe for future reference.
- There is no need to send the copy of the application form or any other documents to the university.

VMOU Exam Admit Card 2023
- The admit card to appear for the VMOU entrance exam 2023 can be downloaded from the university’s official website.
- A printout of the admit card should be taken and carried to the exam centre along with a photo identity proof.
- Important details related to the exam such as center address, date and time will be mentioned in the admit card.
- Applicants are suggested to preserve their admit card as it will be required at the time of counseling and admission.
- No admit card will be sent to the candidates through post or courier and will only be available online.
VMOU Admission 2023 Result
- Authorities will declare the result of the entrance exams on the official website of the university as per the decided schedule.
- The candidates who score more than the prescribed cut-off will be considered as qualified.
- A merit list of such candidates will be prepared on the basis of the marks secured in the entrance exam.
- For courses without entrance exams, the merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying exam.
- Candidates will be invited to attend further rounds of admission according to their names in the merit list.
VMOU Counseling 2023
- The candidates whose names appear in the merit list will have to attend the counseling process.
- At the time of counseling, documents and eligibility of the candidates will be verified.
- As such, the candidates must carry with them all the important documents in original and photocopy while reporting for counseling.
- After successful verification, the candidates will be asked to provide their choice for course specialization.
- Candidates will then be allotted seats on the basis of their merit and the choices provided by them.
