Anna University, Chennai will conduct the TANCET 2024 Examination for admission in various PG programs such as MBA, MCA, M.E/M.Tech, M.Arch etc. The procedure of admission is carried out in two stages- 1) candidates must appear for the TANCET exam to be eligible for admission and 2) They should apply for admission to the concerned admitting authorities.

TANCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should ensure that they fit the eligibility requirements for the courses they intend to apply for. Given below is the eligibility criteria set by the authority for some courses that a candidate must fulfill in order to participate in the TANCET exam-
For MBA Course: Candidates should have passed a bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years from a recognized university/institute and have secured minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category). Candidates who hold the educational record as per the following pattern are also eligible-
- 10+2+3/4 years pattern.
- 10+3 years diploma + 3 years pattern.
- E/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharm
- 10+2+AMIE or 10+3 years diploma + AMIE
For M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan: Applicants should have passed a bachelor’s degree in relevant field and have obtained minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category). Candidates who hold the educational record as per the following pattern are also eligible-
- E/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharm or Masters in relevant branch of science/arts.
- 10+2+AMIE or 10+3 years diploma + AMIE
Note: Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination can also apply.
TANCET 2024 Application Form
Candidates can register for TANCET 2024 through the official website of Anna University. For registration, candidates need to provide their basic details such as Name, Email ID, Phone number etc. On completing the registration, candidates should check their Email ID for unique password. To fill the form, candidates must login into the portal by entering their Email ID and password. The application form will comprise of details that a candidate needs to provide. These details include- Personal details, Educational details etc.
The entry in the application form must be made carefully as once the form is submitted successfully, no editing will be permitted thereafter. Applicants should also keep their photograph and signature ready in scanned copy format. They also should make sure to pay the required application fee for the TANCET 2024 exam. Before submitting the form, candidates should review the same for mistakes (if any).
Application Fee
The application fee can be paid only via online mode i.e. through credit card/debit card/net banking. Candidates need to pay Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/SCA candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu). Those who want to opt for more than one course need to pay the same amount for the additional course.

Syllabus
The TANCET syllabus varies from program to program. Hence, candidates should prepare for the exam as per the curriculum prescribed for UG program of the relevant course they wish to pursue masters in (if applicable). Given below is the brief syllabus for the relevant course-
- MCA: Quantitative ability, Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Computer Awareness.
- MBA: Verbal Ability, DI, Quantitative Analysis, and Logical Reasoning.
- E/M.Tech/M.Plan/M.Arch: Engineering mathematics, Basic Engineering & Science, and Technical Knowledge.
Preparation Tips for TANCET 2024
To score good marks in the TANCET examination, candidates can start their exam preparation keeping in mind the useful tips provided below-
- Go through the syllabus first.
- Prepare a time table and follow it daily. The time table should be realistic so that it can be followed easily.
- Solve sample papers and previous year papers regularly.
- Maintain your health. Don’t be engrossed in studies only.
- Go outside and freshen up your mind whenever you feel exhausted.
- Take short breaks in between the studies.
- Avoid excessive use of social media when you’re preparing.
TANCET 2024 Admit Card
Candidates can download the hall ticket for TANCET Exam from the official website of the Anna University i.e. https://www.annauniv.edu/. The admit card should be printed out and must be kept safe till the admission process is over. Damaged admit card will be considered invalid by the authority.
Candidates will only be allowed to take the exam if they possess the admit card and a valid ID proof. In case a candidate lost the admit card after the exam, then he/she may obtain a duplicate admit card on paying Rs. 100/- in form of a DD in favor of “The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai 600025”.
Result and Admission
To check the result of the TANCET 2024 Examination, candidates need to go to the official website. They need to login into the portal using their Email Id and password. The marks sheet will be available to the candidates within 10 days from the announcement of result.
Candidates can apply for the admission through the Tamil Nadu Common Admission (TANCA) process. A seat will be allotted to the candidates in TANCA process based on the marks scored in TANCET.
