Savitribai Phule Pune University annually invites the applicants for admission in various UG, PG, Research, Certificate and diploma courses offered by the colleges affiliated to it. Admission to B.Tech, B.Pharma and B.Arch will be given according to the merit secured by the candidates in the MHT CET entrance exam. For other UG courses, Pune University admission 2022 will be done on the basis of merit.

Admission in M.Phil and Ph.D programs will be done on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the PET entrance test. Candidates seeking admission in PG programs must appear for the entrance test conducted by the University. However, for some courses, the admission will be granted on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in concerned bachelor’s program followed by the counselling process. Application Form

Candidates can apply online for admission in Pune University. They have to fill the online application form by visiting the official website of the University.  The application form must be filled with an extreme care as once the form is submitted, no correction facility will be provided to the candidates. The application form will entail the information such as- personal details, educational details and other such relevant details.

Candidates will also have to upload the scanned copy of their latest passport size photograph and signature in the application form. They must review their application form before making the final submission. It is compulsory for the applicants to pay the necessary application fee failing which their application form will be rejected by the authority. The application fee can be paid using the online mode i.e. Credit card/Debit card/Net banking or through E-Challan.

Eligibility criteria for Pune University admission

The eligibility criteria for courses offered by the Pune University are given below-

BA	Candidates should have passed class 12th /HSC or its equivalent from a recognized board.
B.Sc	Candidates should have passed class 12th/HSC from a recognized board with science subjects.
LLB	Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 45% marks.
B.Tech	HSC or equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 50% marks OR Diploma in Engineering/Technology with minimum 50% marks
B.Ed	Candidates should possess a valid bachelor’s degree or master’s degree from a recognized University with minimum 45% aggregate marks.
MA	Applicants must have done graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.
LLM	Applicants must be a law graduate and have done BA LLB/LLB from a University recognized by the BCI.
MCA	Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in science with mathematics as the compulsory subject. They should have secured at least 50% aggregate marks.
B.Arch	Minimum 50% marks in 10+2 examination or equivalent with English and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
Ph.D/M.Phil	Candidates must have done masters in relevant discipline from a recognized University with minimum 55% aggregate marks (50% marks for reserved category candidates) or equivalent grade “B” in UGC 7 point scale.

Selection Process

The selection process for admission in different UG, PG and other programs provided by the Pune University varies from course to course. For admission in UG courses, candidates need to contact the affiliated colleges. On a general note, admission in UG programs will be given as per the merit rank secured by the candidates in the HSC/class 12^th exam. Those seeking admission in PG programs will have to appear for the entrance test followed by GD and interview.

Similarly, the candidates who are interested in pursuing research need to apply for the entrance test as they will be admitted in the course based on the scores obtained in the PET test followed by the interview. Admission in engineering, pharmacy and architectural courses will be based on the marks secured in the MHT CET entrance exam. Those seeking admission in MBA program will be given admission based on the marks obtained in CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA exams.

• The admit card will be available on the official website of Pune University.
• Candidates need to download their admit card and retain a copy of it for future purpose.
• It is mandatory for the applicants to bring the admit card on the day of the exam failing which they will not be allowed to take the test.
• Candidates also need to bring one ID proof along with the hall ticket.
• The admit card should be kept safe till the admission process is finished.

Result and Counselling

Candidates can check the result of the Pune University admission 2022 from the official website of the same i.e. www.unipune.ac.in. A merit list will be drawn by the authority to shortlist the candidates as per the marks obtained in the entrance exam/qualifying exam (wherever applicable). The selected candidates will be called to attend the counselling procedure where they need to indicate their choice of preference of course and college.

Candidates will also undergo the document verification phase where their original documents will be thoroughly verified by the officials to weed out the ineligible candidates.
