The university offers MPhil Programme into following specializations

Sanskit and Prakrit Languages, Marathi, History, Philosophy, Library and Information Science, Sociology, Women’s Studies, Zoology, Defense & Strategic Studies, Mathematics, Physics, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Botany, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Communication Studies, Education & Extension (Regular & Vocational), Physical Education.

Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates must have done a Master’s Degree in relevant subject with minimum qualifying marks.

Reservation Criteria

The university follows reservation criteria as per Govt. of Maharashtra rules. The reservations criteria are as follows:

• 50% seats are reserved for SC, ST, DTNT, and OBC
• 3% seats are reserved for physically handicapped candidates
• 5% seats are reserved for Defence personnel/Ex-service Manward

Pune University MPhil Application Form: How to apply?

The interested and eligible candidates can apply online through University’s official website i.e. www.unipune.ac.in. The application form will be available only online mode. No other mode will be entertained by the university. For the successful application submission, candidates have to deposit a certain amount as the necessary application fee. The details of application fee payment are listed below:

Application Fee:

Candidates from open category are needed to pay Rs.400/-and Rs.300/ in case of reserved category.

Mode of application fee Payment:

Via Cash: In case you are opting payment mode as Cash, you will be provided 2 options for bank i.e. HDFC Bank or Bank of Maharashtra. Among these two options you to pick any preferred one and click on Submit. On successful submission of fee bank Challan will be generated automatically. Candidates are advised to take print of this challan (by clicking on “Print Challan” link) and remit cash in cash counter of any branch of selected bank

Through Online Payment: If you are selecting payment mode as Online Payment then click on Submit and you will be get landed to University Online Payment Gateway.

Applicants must fill-up the online application form and are needed to submit the hard copy of the application form along with required documents on or before the due date to concerned University Department.
