NTSE 2023: The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is conducted by the Nationalntse Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) for class X students. It is basically a scholarship programme for talented class X students and scholarship is awarded to them as per their performance in NTSE exam.

NTSE 2023 will be conducted in two stages at the national level- stage 1 and state 2. Stage 1 is conducted at state-level, while stage 2 is a national level exam. Students from India or those are studying in other countries both can apply for NTSE exam 2023.

NTSE 2023 Scholarship Details

  • Scholarship of Rs.1250/- per month would be given for class XI to XII.
  • Scholarship of Rs.2000/- per month would be given for undergraduates and postgraduates programmes.
  • Scholarship for PhD will be as per the norms of UGC.

*Reservation: 15% for SC category applicants, 7.5% for ST and 3% for physically Challenged group of candidates.

For Regular Students

Age Limit: The minimum age of a candidate must be 18 years.

Qualification: Candidates should be studying in class X from a private or government school in India.

For ODL Students

Students who are registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) are also eligible for scholarship, subject to their age should be less than 18 years as on 1st July of the particular year and they should be appearing in class X exam for the first time and have not employed.

For Students Studying Abroad

Those are Indian residents but studying in any other country can also apply for NTSE exam 2022:

  • The candidate must belong to India.
  • Candidates are eligible to avail scholarship only if they are willing to study further in India.
  • They should have obtained minimum 60% marks in class IX final exam.

NTSE 2023 Application Form

It is essential to submit your application form for appearing NTSE entrance test. Candidates have two options for obtaining their form either they can download it from the official website or they can contact the State/UT Liaison officer.

Candidates need to submit their duly filled application to the state/UT Liaison officer once it is signed by their school principal.

NTSE 2023 Exam Pattern

  • Exam will be conducted in two stages i.e. 1st stage and 2nd
  • For both the stages, exam will be sub-divided into two parts i.e. a>Mental Ability Test (MAT), and b>Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).

NTSE 2023 Admit Card

NTSE exam conducting authority will release admit card of successfully registered candidates in offline mode for both the stages. Candidates will be able to collect their respective admit card from the chief superintendent of their allotted exam centre.

NTSE 2023 Result

It is expected that the result of NTSE 2023 stage 1 will be declared in the month of February 2020 and stage 2 results is possible to be announced in the month of November.

NTSE 2023 Selection Procedure

Students will be selected for admission based on their performance in Stage 1 and Stage 2.

  • Stage 1: NTSE first stage will be organized in the month of November 2022 (tentative). Students who are studying in class X are permitted to appear in Stage 1 exam.
  • Stage 2: only stage 1 qualified candidates can appear in Stage 2 which is scheduled to be held in the month of May 2023.

Admission Procedure for Students Studying Abroad

Class X students who are studying abroad can directly appear in Stage 2 exam, subject of fulfilling all conditions mentioned in NTS brochure (available at NCERT website). Application form of students studying abroad is going to be uploaded on NCERT website after the official announcement.
