About National Institute of Open Schooling

The National Institute of Open Schooling is the board that is established under the Union Government of India by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of Government of India. The board was set up to administer examinations for Secondary and Senior Secondary Examinations to open school that are identical to CBSE and CISCE to augment the literacy rate and develop the rural areas. The institute offers vocational courses after the high school and provides formal, regular, secondary and senior secondary program equivalent to CBSE.

The Board is responsible for executing the exams of different classes. The examinations are conducted for Senior Secondary, Secondary class and Vocational courses. The examinations are scheduled in the month of April and May and the results are declared in the month of June. Results are accessible on the official website and on www.indiaresults.com. Students can also check the results through SMS. The syllabus for the exams is also prepared by the board and is updated on the site.
