The University offers Ph.D courses under the Department of Biotechnology, Applied Mechanics, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, GIS Cell, Mathematics, Physics and School of Management Studies and Mechanical Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Ph.D in Engineering Programs:

• Applicant must have done a master degree in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology with at least 60% marks or CPI 6.5. Or
• Applicants having a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or master’s degree program in applied biological sciences/ Science/Computer Application or any related discipline with at least of 75% marks or CPI 8.0 are eligible to apply.

Eligibility for Ph.D in Management courses:

• Applicant should have a master’s degree program in Management/ Engineering/ Technology/ Economics/ Science / Commerce / Social Science/ Computer Applications with at least of 60% marks or equivalent CPI 6.5. Or
• Applicants having a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering with at least of 75% marks or CPI 8.0 will also be eligible.
• A skilled Chartered Accountant must be having at least 3 years of professional experience as practicing Chartered Accountant with at least of 60% marks at both graduation level, plus CA examination.

Eligibility for Ph.D in Sciences and HSS courses:

• Applicant holding a master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least of 60% Marks or CPI 6.5 can apply. Or
• Applicant with a bachelor’s degree programme in Pharmacy/ Engineering with minimum 75% marks or CPI 8.0 is also eligible.

Eligibility for Ph.D in GIS courses:

• Applicant must have M.Tech degree or equivalent qualification in GIS and Remote Sensing/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Civil Engineering/Electronics/Agriculture Engineering/ / Information Technology/ Mining Engineering with at least 60% marks or CPI 6.5. Or
• Applicants having M.Sc degree or equivalent qualification in GIS and Remote Sensing/ Geophysics/ Applied Geology/ Geography/ Computer Science/ Environmental Science/ or degree in Master of Computer Application with marks not below than 75% or CPI 8.0 are considered for admissions. Or
• Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least of 75% marks or CPI 8.0 is also eligible to apply.

MNNIT Allahabad application process: How to Apply?

Candidate have to pay Rs. 1200/- as Application fee (Rs. 600/- for candidates from SC/ST).

Payment can be made by either in online mode by debit/ credit card, net banking or offline mode by bank challan.

Applicants must take print out of the application form, attach photocopy of all important documents and send the same to “Admission Cell, Office of the Dean (Academic), Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad, Allahabad – 211 004”. Candidates must write the name of the course applying for on the top of envelop.

MNNIT Allahabad Selection Procedure 2021

• Applicants are selected on the basis of their performance in interviews and/or written examination test.
• Shortlisted candidates after written test will be permitted for interview only after confirmation of documents in original.
