Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should satisfy the prescribed eligibility criteria as mentioned below before applying admission to any Pharmacy course.

Educational qualification

For D.Pharm programme

Aspirants should qualify HSC / PUC/ PDC/ 10+2 examination with Chemistry, Physics, Biology (Botany & Zoology) or Mathematics as subjects.

For B. Pharm course

Candidates should have done HSC / PUC/ PDC/ 10+2 examination scoring at least an aggregate of 40% (35% in case of SC/ST/OBC) of marks in Chemistry, Physics, Biology (Zoology and Botany) or Mathematics and also passed English subject separately.

For Bachelor of Pharmacy Practice (B. Pharm. Pr)

• Candidate should have done Diploma in Pharmacy programme from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India.
• Applicant should be a registered Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act.
• Should possess at least of 4- years of pharmacy practice experience in a hospital pharmacy or community

For Pharm D. course

• Aspirants should have passed HSC/ PUC/ PDC/10+2 Examination with Chemistry, Physics, Biology (& Zoology & Botany) or Mathematics
• Should have done D. Pharm examination from PCI approved institution

For Pharm D. (Post Baccalaureate) course 

Aspirants should have done B. Pharm examination from the recognized University which is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi.

For M. Pharm Course

Applicants who have done B. Pharm course from any recognized University or any other equivalent qualification in pharmacy recognized by PCI (pharmacy council of India) and AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) with minimum of 50% marks (aggregate of four years) will be considered eligible for the admission to the M. Pharm programme. For candidates from SC/ST/OBC category the minimum qualifying marks are 40% (aggregate of four years).

Age Criteria

For admission to B. Pharm, D- Pharm, B. Pharm Practice and Pharm D course (6 years course) the minimum age limit of candidate is 17 years.

JSS University UG/PG Pharmacy Application Form 2022: How to apply?

Interested and eligible candidates can register for admission to Diploma, UG, & PG Pharmacy Courses only through “Online” mode. The process of online registration & application submission is given below:

• First of all, candidates are required to visit the official website of JSS University i.e. http://jssuni.edu.in. Then select and click on “Admission notification” available on the home page and select “Apply Online”
• Applicants have to first register themselves for the course in which they looking admission. Enter all the required information for the registration process carefully. On the successful registration, a registration number will be sent to candidate’s their registered email id.
• Aspirants have to log in the system with using their registration ID and date of birth. Verify the details by providing the verification code.
• After successful verification, “Application for Admission to UG/PG pharmacy courses” will be appeared.
• Start filling up the details required in the application as per the prescribed format. After finishing the fill-up process, candidates will have to upload the recent passport size photograph & signature in the given fields.
• Now, proceed for payment. Candidates have to pay a certain amount as necessary application fee through online mode.
• After the successful completion of online payment, a hard copy of the application form will be generated containing the Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara University (JSSU) application number.
• Candidates are advised to take the printout of the application form for further reference.

Payment mode

Candidates have to pay the prescribed application / registration fee through online payment gateway using a credit card / debit card /through internet banking. There will be no provision for Offline fee payment.

Admit card

The applicants who have done successful registration can download the Test Admission Ticket (TAT) for the Entrance Test from the official website of Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara University (JSSU) i.e. www.jssuni.edu. To download the TAT candidates have to provide their registration number

Selection Process

Selection of candidates for admission to B. Pharm, D. Pharm, B. Pharm practice, Pharm D. (Post Baccalaureate), Pharm D and M. Pharm programmes in the constituent college of Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara University (JSSU), JSS College of Pharmacy Ooty, and JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru will be based on rank list prepared by the University through marks secured in Qualifying examinations in relevant subjects organized by various Boards and universities and an entrance test held by Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara University (JSSU).
