Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) is responsible for organizing Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT). The test is conducted for admissions to Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) courses.
It is a state-level entrance exam conducted once a year. The admission to MBA and MCA courses will be offered to various AICTE-approved universities affiliated with self-financing colleges across the state of Karnataka. Selection will be based on KMAT scores followed by Group Discussions and Personal Interviews.

KMAT Karnataka Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the required eligibility criteria before applying for KMAT Exam 2024.
Indian nationals are eligible to apply. As per the updated KMAT Eligibility criteria, candidates from Karnataka as well as from other states are eligible to apply for the exam.
For MBA/PGDM
Candidates seeking admission to MBA/PGDM courses must have a bachelor’s degree with no less than 3 years duration or a Master’s degree examination of any recognized institute in Management, Commerce, Arts, Engineering/ Technology, Social Sciences, or equivalent.
They must pass the qualifying examination with no less than 50% of marks in the aggregate (45% for candidates from SC/ST category).
Candidates who are in their final year of the examination are also eligible.
For MCA
Candidate should have cleared a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Applicants should have studied Mathematics at the 10+2 level or graduation level.
KMAT Application Form 2024
It is expected that the KMAT 2024 registration will be commenced in June 2024. The authority will release the application form in online mode only. Interested and eligible candidates must fill out and submit the KMAT application form as per the prescribed schedule.
For KMAT Online Registration, candidates should open the given link and enter their basic details such as name, contact number, and email id.
After successful registration, candidates must log in to the application form and fill out the asked details like personal, category, qualification, address, etc. in the form.
Upload the scanned images of documents like photograph and signature in the specific format.
Candidates have to pay the application fee to complete the application process.
Take the printout of the duly filled application form for future use.
KMAT Application Fee
Candidates will be able to pay the application fee through online mode using a debit card/credit card/net banking as a payment gateway.
KMAT Karnataka application fee for all candidates is Rs 850/-.
KMAT Karnataka Examination Pattern
The KMAT question paper is divided into 3 sections namely VARC, QA, and LR. Each section will consist of multiple-choice questions.

KMAT Karnataka Syllabus
KMAT 2024 syllabus will consist of topics from sections like Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, and Logical Reasoning. Candidates willing to appear in the KMAT exam are advised to first go through the syllabus carefully and then make study plans accordingly.

KMAT 2024 Admit Card
It is expected that the authority will release the KMAT admit card in September 2024. The admit card will be released in online mode only. Registered candidates can download the KMAT Hall ticket from the official website by entering their application number and password.
The admit card will include details related to the exam such as the candidate’s name and roll number, examination venue, date and time of the exam, KMAT test guidelines, etc. Candidates must take the printout of the admit card and carry the same while appearing for the exam.
KMAT Karnataka 2024 Result
The authority will announce the KMAT Result most likely in December 2024 through online mode. Candidates who appeared in the exam will be allowed to check/download the KMAT scorecard by providing their login details.
The Result will include the name of the candidate, roll number, total marks secured, section-wise marks etc. Candidates are advised to take the printout of the KMAT Karnataka scorecard for future reference. The result will be valid for one year only.
KMAT Cutoff 2024
The KMAT 2024 cutoff will be released a few days after the announcement of the result. Candidates can check the cutoff on the official website of each participating institute. The Cutoff will be the minimum qualifying marks required by the candidates to be eligible for the admission process.
KMAT Karnataka cutoff will be decided by the authority after considering various factors such as the difficulty level of the exam, previous year cutoff marks, total number of test takers, availability of seats, etc. The admission will be based on the candidate’s cut-off marks.
KMAT Karnataka Counselling 2024
The counselling will be held separately by various participating institutes. There will be no centralized counselling process organized by the authority. Shortlisted candidates can download the counselling letter from the official website link.
Document verification and seat allotment will be done at the time of counselling. Seats will be allotted after clearing the various admission rounds such as document verification, GD (group discussion), Personal Interview, and WAT (written ability test).
Selected candidates must report at the allotted institute as per the prescribed schedule and pay the admission fee to confirm seats.
