HP TET 2024: Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to apply for the post of teachers in schools of Himachal Pradesh they need to clear the HP TET 2024 exam. Application forms for the exam will be released in online mode.

The expected date for the availability of HP TET 2024 application form is May 2024. Please confirm your eligibility before you apply for the entrance exam.

HP TET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The HP TET eligibility criteria 2024 for different teaching categories are provided below:

For TGT (Arts):

Candidates with any of the following degree can apply for TGT (Arts):

• BA/ B.Com with not less than 50% aggregate marks and 1-year B.Ed degree
• BA/ B.Com with at least than 45% aggregate marks and 1-year B.Ed degree with 50% marks in accordance with NCTE
• Senior secondary with a minimum of 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed (Bachelor in Elementary Education)
• Senior secondary with a minimum of 50% marks and 4-year B.A.Ed
• BA/ B.Com with not less than 50% aggregate marks and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education) degree

For TGT (Non-Medical):

Candidates with any of the following degree can apply for TGT (NM):

• B.Sc (NM) with not less than 50% aggregate marks and 1-year B.Ed degree
• B.Sc (NM) with at least than 45% aggregate marks and 1-year B.Ed degree with 50% marks in accordance with NCTE
• Senior secondary with a minimum of 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed (Bachelor in Elementary Education)
• Senior secondary with a minimum of 50% marks and 4-year B.Sc(NM).Ed
• B.Sc (NM) with not less than 50% aggregate marks and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education) degree

For TGT (Medical):

Candidates with any of the following degree can apply for TGT (Medical):

• B.Sc (Medical) with not less than 50% aggregate marks and 1-year B.Ed degree
• B.Sc (Medical) with at least than 45% aggregate marks and 1-year B.Ed degree with 50% marks in accordance with NCTE
• Senior secondary with a minimum of 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed (Bachelor in Elementary Education)
• Senior secondary with a minimum of 50% marks and 4-year B.Sc(Medical).Ed
• B.Sc (Medical) with not less than 50% aggregate marks and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education) degree

For Shashtri:

• Candidates with Shashtri degree scoring at least 50% marks are eligible.

For Language Teacher:

Candidates with any of the following degree can apply for Language Teacher:

• BA with Hindi as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
• BA with not less than 50% aggregate marks with Hindi as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed degree
• BA with at least than 45% aggregate marks with Hindi as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed degree in accordance with NCTE
• BA with not less than 50% aggregate marks with Hindi as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education) degree
• Prabhakar (Hons. in Hindi) with 50% marks followed by BA exam (with English and one additional subject) securing at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed
• MA (Hindi) with not less than 50% aggregate marks and 1-year B.Ed

For JBT:

Candidates with any of the following degree can apply for JBT:

• Senior secondary with minimum 50% marks and 2-year JBT certificate
• Senior secondary with minimum 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
• Senior secondary with minimum 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE
• Senior secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education
• Senior secondary with minimum 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education)

For Punjabi language:

Candidates with any of the following degree can apply for Punjabi language:

• BA with Punjabi as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
• BA with not less than 50% aggregate marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed degree
• BA with at least than 45% aggregate marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed degree in accordance with NCTE
• BA with not less than 50% aggregate marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education) degree
• Giani with 50% marks followed by BA exam (with English and one additional subject) securing at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed
• MA (Punjabi) with not less than 50% aggregate marks and 1-year B.Ed

For Urdu language:

Candidates with any of the following degree can apply for Urdu language:

• BA with Urdu as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
• BA with not less than 50% aggregate marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed degree
• BA with at least than 45% aggregate marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed degree in accordance with NCTE
• BA with not less than 50% aggregate marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education) degree
• BT with 50% marks followed by BA exam (with English and one additional subject) securing at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed
• MA (Urdu) with not less than 50% aggregate marks and 1-year B.Ed

HP TET 2024 Application Form

• The application form for HP TET 2024 has been released through online mode and can be obtained from the official website www.hpbose.org.
• First, the candidates will have to register themselves providing their basic personal details like name, email address, phone number, etc.
• After successful registration, an application number will be generated the candidates using which can obtain their application form.
• In the application form, the candidates will have to provide rest personal details, academic details, contact info, etc into the application form.
• Choice for the subject in which the candidates want to appear for TET should also be provided.
• Photograph and signature of the candidates into the application form should also be uploaded into the application form.
• After providing these details into the form, the candidates can submit it online with the prescribed application fee.
• Candidates are required to take a printout of the confirmation page generated after application submission and keep it safe for future reference.

HP TET 2024 Exam Pattern

The basic overview of HP TET exam pattern 2024 is provided below:

• Question paper language: Both English & Hindi, papers of different language subjects will be partly in that particular language

HP TET Admit Card 2024

• Admit card for HP TET 2024 will be available for download on the official website of the board www.hpbose.org.
• A copy of the admit card should be taken after downloading and should be carried to the exam enter on the day of exam.
• The candidates should take care as to not damage the admit card or else it can be considered as invalid.
• Important details related to candidates and exam such as name, roll number, photograph, signature, test center address, date, time, etc will be mentioned on the admit card.
• The admit card should be preserved by the candidates till they successfully receive the eligibility certificate.

HP TET 2024 Result

• Result of HP TET will be published online on the official website of the board.
• No request will be entertained from the candidates for re-evaluation or re-checking of the answer sheet.
• Candidates who are declared as qualified will be awarded an eligibility certificate.
• Such candidates can apply for the post of teacher in the schools of Himachal Pradesh.

FAQs

Ques: How do I make corrections in my application form that is submitted already?

Ans: An online correction window will be provided to you by the board to make changes in your submitted application form. Once the window closes no further requests for the same will be accepted. Candidates should not make request for application correction through other means such as fax, email, etc

Ques: Can I apply for more than one teaching category?

Ans: Yes. You can apply for multiple teaching categories by submitting separate application form and fee for each category you want to apply for.

Ques: I am unable to find my admit card online. What should I do now?

Ans: In case you do not find your admit card online, you need to meet the Center Superintendent at least an hour before starting of exam with a copy of application confirmation page and proof of application fee payment.

Ques: What is the validity of the eligibility certificate?

Ans: The eligibility certificate will be valid up to a period of 7 years from the date of issuance.

Ques: How many times can I attempt to clear the TET?

Ans:You can appear for the eligibility test any number of times as you want to obtain the certificate. There is no limit to it.
