The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct JEE Main 2023. This will be a national level entrance exam to be held with an aim to shortlist the candidates for B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Planning courses in top colleges of India. A huge number of candidates appeared for the JEE Mains last year and it is expected that more candidates will be appearing for this exam in the year 2023. So, it is obvious that the competition level in the coming JEE Main exam is going to be very high.
JEE Main 2023 will have two papers- paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 is conducted for admission to B.E/B.Tech courses at IIITs, NITs, Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/Universities recognized/funded by participating State Governments, while paper 2 is conducted for providing admission to B. Arch and B.Planning courses in India.

JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2023
It is important that the aspirant must ensure that they are eligible before applying for the JEE Mains 2023 exam.
Age Limit
The authority has not specified any age limit for appearing in JEE Mains 2023. However, candidates should confirm with institutions (in which they are looking for admission) if there are any such criteria.
Educational Qualification
- The candidates should have passed class 12th or its equivalent exam in the year 2021 or 2022.
- The candidates who will appear in the class 12th or its equivalent exam in the year 2023 can also apply.
Note: Candidates those have passed class 12 or its equivalent exam in 2020 or before are not eligible to take JEE Mains 2023.
B.E/B.Tech: Class 12 with five subjects including Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects and Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology, or any other technical vocational as optional subject.
B.Arch: Class 12 with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
B.Plan: Class 12 with Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects.
Note: Diploma holders can also apply for JEE Main 2023 however they can find admission to IITs only.
Attempt Limit
The National Testing Agency has not prescribed any age limit for taking 2023 JEE Mains.
JEE Main 2023 Application Form
The application form for JEE Main 2023 exam will be made available only in online mode through the official website. The candidates have to provide all the necessary educational and personal details in the application form. Please note that it will be mandatory for every candidate to enter Aadhar Number or Aadhar Enrollment number in the application form. In addition to this, the applicant will also need to upload the scanned copies of recent passport size photograph and signature.
The candidates should download the acknowledgment page after submitting the application form and keep it safe for the future reference.
Application Fee
An application form will not be considered complete unless the candidate pays the prescribed application fee. The JEE Main 2023 application fee for different categories are given below:

JEE Main 2023 Admit Card
The admit card for JEE Main 2023 can be downloaded from the official website of the board. Details such as Candidate’s Name, Date of birth, Test center, City, Category etc. will be mentioned on the admit card. No candidate will be permitted to appear for the exam without a valid admit card. The candidates will also require to carry one photo id proof along with the admit card at the time of examination.
JEE Main 2023 Result
It is notified that the score and rank card of the JEE Main 2023 exam will be published in April 2023. The rank card will be consisting of All India rank and All India Category rank. Please note that the All India Rank (AIR) will be utilized to granting admission to NITs/ CFTIs/ SFIs/ other while the category ranks are for information purposes only.
The authorities will not send the rank card or scorecard to the candidates. The aspirants have to download the admit card from the official website only.
JEE Main 2023 Counseling
The schedule for JEE Main 2023 counseling or seat allocation process will be updated on the official website i.e. http://jeemain.nic.in. The candidates have to fill the choices of branch and institutes at the time of counselling.
The seats will be allotted after the proper verification of documents. The candidates seeking reservation have to furnish the required certificates in original. If any candidate fails to produce the authentic documents then such candidates will not be considered for admission.
