ISM EE 2021: Application Form, Important Dates, Eligibility Criteria

ISM EE 2021: The Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad conducts the ISM Entrance examination (ISM EE) to screen the candidates for admission in the institute. Candidates can take admission to pursue more than 15 courses related to mining viz. Mineral Exploration, Mining Machinery Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Underground Space Technology and many others. Candidates can apply for exam and admission irrespective of GATE score. However, the candidates who have appeared in the GATE will be given preference for admission. ISM EE Eligibility Criteria

The norms for eligibility criteria will be as given in the following points:

  • Candidates must have qualified a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology exam or any equivalent qualification from a recognized Institute.
  • OR, candidates can have a Master’s degree in Science to be eligible to apply for the examination and admission.
  • In addition to that, they have attained minimum 55% marks or CGPA/CPI of 5.5 in 10 point scales.
  • The candidates of the reserved category will be required to have 50% or CGPA/CPI of 5.0 out of 10.
  • Candidates must have valid score of GATE who apply for admission on the basis of the GATE score.
  • The age of the candidates must not be more than 30 years.

ISM EE 2021: Application Form

  • The application form filling and submitting process will be done thru the online application form.
  • The application form will be available on the official website of the admission authority.
  • In the application form, they will have to fill all the information such as their name, address and the educational qualification.
  • Apart from that, they will also upload the scanned photo and signature in the application form.
  • There will be an application fee of Rs. 2000 for the applicants, which candidates can pay thru the credit card, debit card or net banking.
  • The application fee for the candidates of the reserved category will be Rs. 1000.

ISM EE Exam Pattern

The exam pattern will be as given below:

  • There will be a question paper of objective nature having multiple questions.
  • The question paper will have three sections viz. Part A, Part B, and Part C.
  • Part A will include 30 questions of 1 mark each.
  • In Part B, the number of questions will be 20 of 2 marks each.
  • The Part C will comprise of 10 questions of 3 marks.
  • For the wrong answers, candidates will have to cast 1/4th marks as a penalty.

ISM EE 2021 Admit Card

  • The ISM EE Admit card will be available on the official website of the institute.
  • Candidates can get the admit card in the month of May 2021 two or three weeks ago the commencement of the examination.
  • It will be necessary for all the applicants to take the admit card with them at the time of the examination.

ISM EE 2021 Result

  • The result of the ISM entrance examination 2021 will be available on the official portal of the
  • After the announcement of the result, candidates will be eligible to appear for counselling.
  • Candidates can get the result of the exam in the month of June 2021.

Counselling

  • The selection of the candidates for admission will be on the basis GATE scores and personal Interview.
  • A candidate who will appear for the ISM entrance examination 2021, their selection will be on the basis of the ISM EE scores & Personal Interview.
  • At the time of counseling, candidates will have to take all the certificates of their educational qualification along with them.
  • The admission board will check all the certificates of the candidates at the time of counseling and henceforth the admission board will offer the admission to the eligible applicants.
  • The counseling fee will be Rs. 1000 for all the applicants.
