Institute of National Importance Super Specialty Test abbreviated as INI SS is a national-level medical entrance exam. It is conducted for offering admission into 3-year PG medical courses such as DM/ M.Ch./ and MD Hospital Administration at eleven institutes including eight AIIMS colleges.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is responsible for organizing the INI SS entrance exam twice yearly- January and July sessions. It involves a two-stage (Stage 1, Stage 2) admission process. Eligible candidates get admission based on marks obtained in both stages.
Stage-1 is a written test that is valid for all the Institutes of National Importance (INI), whereas stage-2 is valid for admission to AIIMS only. Through this article, candidates can check the complete details regarding the INI SS exam 2024.

INI SS Eligibility Criteria
Candidates need to fulfill the eligibility requirements before applying for the INI SS entrance exam. The important details related to eligibility criteria are as follows:

Age limit for INI SS
The INI SS age limit will vary for different INIs and AIIMS institutes. The age criteria for participating institutes are as follows:

INI SS 2024 Application form
Candidates seeking admission to PG medical courses through the INI SS entrance exam 2024 must submit their online application form on or before the date. The application form will be available through online mode only.
Eligible applicants will have to register first at aiimsexams.ac.in to access the INI SS application form for both sessions.
To complete the online registration, candidates have to provide basic details like name, gender, date of birth, nationality, email id, and contact details.
After the successful INI SS registration, login credentials will be sent to the candidate’s registered email address.
Candidates should log in to the application page by using the same login id and password.
Fill out the asked details in the application form like personal, educational, experience, category, etc.
Candidates have to pay the required application fee through online mode.
Upload the scanned images of documents like a photograph, signature, and other certificates in the specific format.
Take the printout of the application form for future use.

Candidates will have to pay Rs 4000/- as an application fee. Candidates from the PWBD category will be exempted from the payment of the application fee/

INI SS Exam Pattern 2024
The exam will be conducted in two stages- written exam (Stage 1) & departmental assessment (stage 2). However, stage-2 is valid for admission to DM/MCh/MD(HA) courses of AIIMS only. Candidates can check the exam pattern details for the written exam from the section below.

INI SS 2024 Syllabus
INI SS Syllabus 2024 will include the topics from the previous educational qualification. From sub-specialty/ component the specialty/ system/ course for which the exam will be conducted. The authority will release the detailed syllabus online along with the information brochure. The syllabus for INI SS will be released separately for all offered courses.
INI SS 2024 Admit Card
The conducting body will release the INI SS Admit Card through online mode only. It is expected that the INI SS hall ticket 2024 for the January session will be released in October 2023 and April 2024 for the July session.
Candidates who registered for the exam can download the admit card by visiting the official website of the authority. To download the admit card, candidates need to provide their registered id and password.
The hall ticket will include the details like the candidate’s name, exam date & time, and exam guidelines. It is an important document to carry at the exam centre along with a photo id proof. The authority will not allow any candidate to appear in the exam without a valid admit card.
INI SS Result 2024
The authority will announce the INI SS results for the January session in November 2023 and in May 2024 for the July session exam. The result will be released through online mode. Candidates will be able to check/download the result by using their login credentials.
It will be available in the form of a scorecard. The INI SS scorecard will consist of details like the candidate’s overall rank, percentile, qualifying status, etc. A merit list will also be prepared by the authority based on the candidate’s performance in the exam.
INI SS Merit List 2024
The authority will publish the INI SS 2024 Merit List through online mode. Based on the candidate’s performance in both exams, the authority will publish two separate merit lists i.e., Common Merit List (CML) for all INIs and AIIMS Merit List (AML) for AIIMS institutes.
The seats will be allotted through online mode on both Merit Lists. To become eligible for AIIMS Seat allocation, an applicant needs to score at least 50% marks in Stage-I & Stage II combined. All the selected applicants will be allowed to fill in choices and their order of preference in college.
INI SS Counselling 2024
The process of INI SS 2024 Counselling will be organized by AIIMS, Delhi in online mode. Candidates whose names will appear on the merit list will be invited to attend the INI SS Counselling process. During the counselling, candidates will have to register online and provide their choice for colleges and specialties.
Candidates must register for counselling through online mode by using their login credentials. The allocation of seats will be done in three rounds. After accepting the seat in the allotted institute, candidates will not be allowed to cancel their seat.
