IICD 2022 application form has been released on 21st December 2021. Indian Institute of Craft & Design Jaipur will invite applications from eligible candidates for UG and PG admissions in the field of craft and design. It is an India level entrance exam and generally conducts in the month of May for every year. Candidates are instructed to visit this page regularly in order to get consistent updates on IICD admission 2022.
Admissions are being offered to the following courses-

- 2 Year M.Des in Craft and Design
- 3 Year M.Des in Craft and Design (Hybrid Mode)
- 3 Year M.Voc in Craft and Design (For graduate students holding Non-Design Degrees)

IICD 2022 Eligibility Criteria
For Under Graduate Professional Diploma Programmes:
Candidate should have done 10+2 from a recognized board of education. Students appearing in the qualifying examination or to be awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
For Post Graduate Professional Diploma Programmes
Candidate should hold a Recognized Degree or Diploma (minimum 3 years duration after 10+2) in Architecture / Craft Design, Design, Home Science in Textiles & Clothing/ Fashion / Fine Art.
Or
Children/wards of Artisan with a minimum of five years direct work experience in hereditary traditional crafts after passing HSC examination.
Or
Candidates having graduation in any discipline with an aptitude towards fashion, craft or design can also apply.
Aspirants appearing in the qualifying examination may also apply.

Reservation Criteria
The reservation policy is as per the UGC norms. Reservation percentages of different categories for admission in IICD are as follows: 27% for OBC, 15% for ST and 7.5% for SC and 3% for PH candidates. In case of insufficient applications from the reserved categories, the seats will be opened to the General category.
IICD 2022 Application Form: How to apply
- Interested and eligible candidate can fill the application form online by visiting the official website link i.e. http://www.iicd.ac.in.
- After that click on “online application” link available on the page.
- Candidates are required to fill important details mentioned in the application form and choose the course for which they are applying.
- Thereafter submit the fees demanded and take the printout of the same for future use.
Acceptable Photo for Uploading
- You must use recent photo (taken in the last six months from the date of application).
- You are easy to recognize
- You are in focus and the only one in the picture.
- The head-and-shoulders are in the center and in correct size, with the entire face, both eyes, and hair clearly visible; head coverings worn for religious purposes are allowed.
- You are directly facing the camera with a neutral expression, eyes are clearly visible.
- Background of the photo must be plain
- Photo should be sharp without any visible pixels or printer dots. There should be no dark spots or shadows.
- Photo must be in JPG/ JPEG.
- The file size must be between 100 kb to 200 kb, approx. size of the photo should be 360*450 pixel.
- Colour/ Black-and-white photos are acceptable.
- Preview your jpg file for image quality to ensure that the image is complete and recognizable prior to uploading.
- Scanned image should be in straight position (not skewed). If require, crop the image to remove the extra part of the image and resize it to make it visible and recognizable.
Acceptable format for Aadhar Card as Photo Identity and Address Proof
- Aadhar Card should be clear and easy to recognize.
- Scanned document should be in focus.
- There should be no dark spots or shadows on the document.
- It must be in JPG/ JPEG.
- The file size must be between 100 kb to 200 kb. Compress the file before uploading, if it is beyond 200 kb.
- Colour/ Black-and-white images are acceptable.
- Preview your jpg file for image quality to ensure that the documents are complete and readable prior to uploading.
- Scanned image should be in straight position (not skewed). If require, crop the image to remove the extra part of the image and resize it to make it visible and recognizable.
Acceptable format for Photo Identity and Address Proof for NRIs, Foreign Nationals and SAARC nationals
- NRI, Foreign Nationals Including SAARC countries should upload passport document (front & back pages of the IICD Admission Prospectus 2021 53 passport) as photo identity and address proof.
- Other guidelines to upload documents will be same as given in C.
Acceptable format for Candidate’s Signature
- Candidate’s signature should be in Blue/ Black colour on a white background.
- Candidate’s signature should be clearly visible and recognizable.
- Candidate’s signature should be in focus.
- There should be no dark spots or shadows on the image.
- The file size must be between 20 kb to 50kb.
- Preview your jpg file for image quality to ensure that the image is complete and readable, prior to uploading.
- Scanned image should be in straight position (not skewed). If require, crop the image to remove the extra part of the image and resize it to make it visible and recognizable.
Registration and Admission Process Fee
The Admission process fee for Indian and SAARC Nationals is INR 1,750/- (Rs. One Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty only) and for NRI/ other Foreign Nationals is INR 3500/- (Rs. Three Thousand Five Hundred only). This fee is non refundable.
IICD 2022 Admit Card
Admit Card for IICD will be sent for eligible candidates only by mail (given by candidate) a week before the entrance exam.
Candidates have to bring the print out of Admit Card while coming for entrance test along with self-attested passport size photographs pasted on it. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the exam without a valid Admit card.
IICD 2022 Exam Pattern
The entrance exam is designed to evaluate the candidate’s abilities such as estimation of sizes and proportion, synthesis and visual interpretation, observation, and general awareness. It is a pen paper-based test containing a total of 100 marks. The exam pattern of IICD is as follows:

Entrance Test Guidelines
The Admission forms that are submitted, in acceptable format, on or before the last date, will be processed for Entrance Test. Admit Card will be issued via email to the candidate’s registered email id.
Entrance test will be conducted online in three parts
PART A: Question Paper-
A question paper will be emailed to the registered candidates along with the Admit Card. The candidates will be required to answer the questions in Word file/ PDF file and submit the same along with the Portfolio as per the schedule given.
PART B: Portfolio Submission-
The portfolio should be a compilation of candidate’s own creative work. Sketching, painting, embroidery, photography, models, explorations with materials, creative writing, etc. may be included in the portfolio.The criteria for evaluation will be: creative ability and skills, observations and perceptions, synthesis and visual interpretation, interest areas, etc. Specifications with regard to the portfolio submission will be conveyed through the email along with the Question Paper.
PART C: Personal Interview- The personal interview will be conducted online. The schedule for the same will be intimated through the email. The interview panel will evaluate the individual personality 54 IICD Admission Prospectus 2021 along with the following attributes in the prospective candidates:
- Aptitude to crafts
- Intelligence Quotient(IQ)
- Communication Ability
- General Awareness about Crafts & Design
- Overall Personal Achievements in academics and co-curricular activities.

IICD 2022 Result
The authority will send an email to candidates in order to inform you about the announcement of result. The list of selected candidates will also be available on www.iicd.ac.in.
IICD 2022 Selection Process
Selection will be based on IICD marks and interview performance. Admission Letter will be sent through courier in order to inform the candidates about their selection. All other details regarding payment of fees at the time of admission, beginning date of the academic session, allotment of Hostel and date will be mentioned in the admission letter.
