IGNOU Admission Eligibility Criteria 2021

The course-wise eligibility criteria for IGNOU Admission 2021 are provided below:

For bachelor’s degree course:

• BA, B.Com, BBA (Retailing), BCA and B.Sc (Hospitality and Hotel Administration): The candidates should have passed class 12^th or equivalent exam from a recognized board.
• Ed: A bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Commerce/ Humanity with 50% marks or BE/ B.Tech degree with 55% marks is required.

For master’s degree course:

• MBA: Any graduate (Including Chartered Accountancy/Cost Accountancy/Company Secretaryship) with 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category candidates) is eligible.
• Com, MA: Candidates with any bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply.
• MCA: Those with a bachelor’s degree in any stream and Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level or graduation level can apply.
• Sc (Food and Nutrition): B.Sc Home Science with specialization in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition or PG Diploma in Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition or Graduate (B.Sc. Hons.) or equivalent (MBBS, BHS etc.) from any of the following backgrounds: Home Science/ Food Science and Technology, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical along with the DNHE or CNCC or CFN offered by IGNOU is required.
• Ed: The applicants with B.Ed scoring 55% marks in aggregate with 2 years of experience can apply.

Diploma course:

• Diploma in Aquaculture: The candidates should have cleared their class 12^th exam with Science stream.
• Diploma in Event Management: A pass in class 12yth exam with English as a subject is required.
• Diploma in Critical Care Nursing: In-service Nursing professionals with GNM/ B.Sc/ M.Sc Nursing are eligible.

Postgraduate diploma course:

• PG Diploma in Audio Programme Production: The candidates with any graduation degree are eligible to apply.
• PG Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication: A bachelor’s degree with 2 years experience in a media/ communication organization is required.
• PG Diploma in Computer Applications: Those with a bachelor’s degree in any stream and Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level or graduation level can apply.

IGNOU Admission Application Form 2021

The candidates will be able to fill the application form for IGNOU admission 2021 through online mode. For MBA & B.Ed, the form will be made available on the NTA website www.ntaignou.nic.in and for rest other courses, on the IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in.

• The candidates might need to register themselves providing basic personal details in order to obtain the application form.
• In the application form, other personal information and academic details of the candidates will be asked.
• Copies of candidates’ photograph and signature in scanned format should also be uploaded into the application form.
• After all the details are entered into the application form, it can be submitted online along with the required application fee.
• Candidates are suggested to take a printout of the submitted application form and keep it with them for future correspondence.

Application fee:

• The application fee for MBA & B.Ed courses will be Rs. 600/- and for Post Basic B.Sc Nursing it is Rs. 1000/-.
• Payment of the application fee can be done online using the facility of net banking or debit or credit card.

IGNOU Admission 2021 Admit Card

• The admit card to appear in the entrance exam conducted by the NTA will be uploaded on website https://ignouexams.nta.nic.in/
• For the entrance exam conducted by IGNOU, the admit card will be released on the website of the university.
• Candidates will be able to download their admit card using their application number, date of birth, etc.
• After downloading, the candidates should check the details in the admit card and if any discrepancy is found, it should be communicated to the appropriate authorities for correction.
• The admit card must be carried by the candidates while appearing for the exam or else they will not be allowed to give their exam.

IGNOU Admission Result 2021

• The result of the entrance exam conducted for IGNOU admissions will be declared online.
• A merit list of the candidates will be drawn by the authorities on the basis of their marks in the entrance exam.
• For courses for which there is no entrance test, the list will be drawn on the basis of candidates’ marks in the qualifying exam.
• Candidates will be invited to attend the further rounds of admission as per their names in the merit list.

IGNOU Admission Process 2021

• Details related to the admission process will be intimated to the candidates via the IGNOU website.
• Candidates shortlisted for the admission process will have to report to the university to get their documents verified.
• After the documents and the eligibility of the candidates are verified, they will be granted final enrolment.
• Enrolled candidates will then be provided the study material related to their course.
• In case of failure to secure admission with the stipulated time frame, the candidature of the applicants will be cancelled.

Question: Can I obtain IGNOU application forms from regional centers?

Answer: No. The application form for IGNOU admission will only be released on the official website of the university.

Question: Do I need my admit card if my entrance test is over?

Answer: Yes. The admit card will be required at the time of securing admission into the university and therefore should be kept safe.

Question: What if my payment gets deducted and the status of payment shows not complete?

Answer: In such case, you need to make re-payment of the application fee. Any fee that is deducted twice will be refunded back to your account.

Question: In case I am not happy with my result, it there any way I can ask for re-evaluation?

Answer: No. The university does not provide any provision for re-checking or re-evaluation of the result.

Question: If a candidate who does not meet the eligibility criteria gets admission, what will happen next?

Answer: If an ineligible candidate is able to secure admission using any unfair means, his/her candidature will be cancelled at any later stage when this ineligibility is discovered.
