HP PAT 2022 will be conducted by the H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board in order to select the candidates for admissions into diploma courses. The admissions will be granted into the polytechnic institutes of Himachal Pradesh. The interested and eligible candidates can apply for the entrance test by submitting their online application form.

HP PAT Eligibility Criteria 2022
HP PAT 2022 eligibility criteria that must be satisfied by the aspiring candidates are given as:
- The candidates must have passed their class 10th or equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 35% marks form a recognized board.
- The candidates who wish to apply for direct admissions (if there remains any vacant seat after PAT counseling) must secure a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved category) in the qualifying exam.
HP PAT Application Form 2022
HP PAT 2022 application form has been released on the official website hptechboard.com. The candidates will have to register first providing their name, date of birth, gender, contact number, email id and other details.
After this, the candidates can proceed towards filling the application form. The candidates will have to provide the remaining details asked in the application form such as domicile, religion, nationality, category, address, etc.
Scanned copies of photograph and signature will also be uploaded in the form. In the last step, the candidates will have to make application fee submission to complete the application process.
Application fee:
The fee payment can be done either online via Debit card/ Credit card/ Net Banking or through bank Challan.
- For general category candidates: Rs. 650/-
- For SC/ ST/ OBC category candidates: Rs. 400/–
HP PAT Exam Pattern 2022
An understanding of exam pattern is important before preparing for the exam. The HP PAT 2022 exam pattern is given as:
- Mode of exam: Offline
- Duration of exam: 3 hours
- No. of questions: 150
- Type of questions: Objective type
- Total marks: 600
- Language of question paper: English and Hindi (except for English paper)
- Marking scheme: 4 marks will be given for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

HP PAT 2022 Syllabus
The HP PAT syllabus 2022 will be based on the class 10th curriculum as prescribed by the NCERT. The questions in the test will be asked from the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- English: Active & Passive, Subject Verb Agreement, Countable & Uncountable Nouns, Tenses, etc
- Physics: Reflection & Refraction, Human Eye, Electricity, Sources of Energy & Environment, etc
- Chemistry: Structure of Atom, Acids, Bases & Salts, Carbon & Its Compounds, Metals & Non-Metals, etc
- Mathematics: Real Numbers, Polynomials, Quadratic Equations, Trigonometry, Co-Ordinate Geometry, etc
Preparation Strategies
In order to get admissions into the top polytechnic colleges, it is important for the candidates to obtain a good rank in their HP PAT 2022 exam:
- Understand your syllabus first and then collect all the study material according to the syllabus.
- For better time management, it is important to study according to a time table. Make a time table and follow it strictly.
- The textbooks of NCERT are the best books for your exam preparation.
- Try to solve mock tests and sample papers of previous years as much as you can.
- Keep revising at a regular basis. Revision will help you in keeping all the topics always fresh in your mind.
Admit Card
The candidates will be able to download their admit card from the board’s official website. The name, roll number, photograph, signature, address, of the candidate and the test centre venue, date & time and set of instructions will be mentioned on the admit card. The candidates must download the admit card and check all the details present on it. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the entrance test without a valid admit card.

Result
HP PAT 2022 result will be declared on the official website of H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board hptechboard.com. The candidates will be able to download their result card from the website. On the basis of marks secured in PAT, a merit list will be drawn and the candidates will be invited for counseling as per the merit list.
Counseling
The qualified candidates will be able to take part in the counseling process for admissions into polytechnic colleges of HP. The schedule of the counseling will be intimated to the candidates through the official website and the candidates will have to attend the counseling as per the schedule. At the time of counseling, the candidates will have to provide the choice of their colleges and courses. On the basis of their rank, the choices made and availability of seats, seat allotment will be done.
If any seats are left vacant after the PAT counseling is over, the counseling of the candidates who have applied for direct admissions (without appearing in PAT) will be conducted.
