Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) is conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University that provides educational support to various disciplines as in Engineering, technology, Pharmacy, Management in its affiliated colleges.

It is a national level engineering entrance exam whose scores are considered valid for admission in most of the engineering institutes in Himachal Pradesh. 50% weightage is given to JEE Main scores and 50% weightage is given 12th marks. In order to appear in JEE Main exam students must have attained 17 years of age.
