About Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Technology
Established in the year 2001, Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology also known as DA-IICT is a technological university located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. The university is named after Dhirubhai Ambani who was Gujarati entrepreneur and founder of Reliance Group of India. DA- IICT is run by the Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation and is sponsored by the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group. In the year 2004, the university was recognized as the Private University by the UGC and Gujarat government.
Campus
The campus of DA-IICT is spread over in 60 acres of land. The university is sited on the outer region of the Gandhi Nagar City on the Bypass Road close to National Institute of fashion Technology (NIFT). DA-IICT is 50 minutes drive from the Railway Station and about 20 minutes drive from the Airport.
Courses
The DA-IICT offers B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Des, M.Sc and PhD courses in the field of engineering & technology, multimedia, agriculture and applied science. All offered courses are approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
Facilities at Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Technology
The DA-IICT has an Eco-friendly campus with large numbers of plant and bird species founded in the campus area. The DA-IICT offers a wide range of facilities and amenities to the students as well as the faculty. The campus comprises a central library, computer centre, bank, ATM, guest house, canteen, security, separate hostels for boys’ and girls’, sports facility and transportation.
Placement
The campus has built up an Entrepreneurship Development Cell and a Training & Placement cell to assist the students through career counselling for their objective and offering the job placement.
