About Dharmsinh Desai University
Established in 1968, Dharmsinh Desai University (previously known as Dharmsinh Desai Institute of Technology) is a premier institution of higher learning in Nadiad, Gujarat, India. The institute was established by Dharmsinh Desai Foundation and accredited by University Grant Commission (UGC). In the year 2000, the university was awarded as the status of a Deemed University by the government of India and has upgraded as State University in 2005. The Dharmsinh Desai University campus is recognized by the ISO 9001:2008 and NBA certification.
Campus
The university is sited on the northern Bank of Mahi Canal and the southern borders of Nadiad city approx 3 km from Nadiad railway station. The campus is about 21 km away from the Kheda City and 60 km from the Ahmadabad City. The DDU campus sprawls over 42 acres of land and is well-connected to the nearby cities by rail and roads.
Courses
The DDU is offering various academic programmes including UG, PG and Doctoral degree courses in various fields of professional education such in pharmacy, medical, management and engineering. The university also offers Bachelor in Business Administration and Master in Business Administration programmes.

The campus of DDU offers state art of infrastructure comprising various campus facilities and academic facilities. It offers the facility for research and development including scholarship for the commendable students. Various major facilities like labs and workshops, computer centre, science laboratories, library, auditorium, canteen and separate hostel for boys and girls.
Placement
The DDU has an active training and placement cell which offers the entrepreneurship awareness, personality development programs, placement of the students and inviting the lecturers from the industry and other institutions for the exposure of students.
