Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat is counted among the top Agriculture Universities of India. The university was founded in the year 1969 and it has reputation as first institution of its kind in the whole North-Eastern Region of the country. Presently the university has six Commodity Research Centres, five Colleges, six Regional Agricultural Research Stations (RARS) and nineteen Krishi Vigyan Kendras  (KVK) across the state. Course Name	Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc)	• Candidates should have completed class 12th or its equivalent exam with subjects PCB (or Botany and Zoology instead of Biology) from a recognized board or university.• Candidates must have obtained minimum marks of 50% in the qualifying exam. This mark is 45% for SC/ST category candidates.• Candidates should be minimum 17 years old as on the last date for submission of application form.
BSc (Home Science)	• Candidates should have cleared class 12th or its equivalent exam with subjects PCB or Botany and Zoology instead of Biology) from a recognized board or university.• Candidates must have achieved at least 40% marks in the qualifying. For SC/ST category candidates the minimum mark is 35%.• Candidates should acquire the age of 17 years as on the last date of submission of application.
Bachelor of Science BSc Agri	As same as for Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc)
MSc (Agri)	• Candidates should possess a B. Sc. (Agri)/B. Sc. (Hort.), B.VSc & AH and B. Sc. (H. Sc.) degree from this university or an university recognized by this university and secured a minimum OGPA of 2.60 in 4.00 scale or 6.00 in 10.00 scale or 50% marks.• Candidates holding 5 years of work experience under Govt. of Assam are required to secure at least an OGPA of 2.30 in 4.00 scale or 5.70 in 10.00 scale or 45% marks.
M Sc (Home Science)	As similar as MSc (Agri)
Master of Veterinary Science (MVSc)	• Candidates should have completed B.Sc. with Chemistry, Zoology and Botany and secured 45% marks in aggregate.• Candidates should have 3 years of work experience and must be sponsored by the Central Silk Board or the State Govt. of Assam.• Candidates who have completed B.Sc in Agriculture and secured an OGPA of 6.70 in 10.00 scale and 2.60 in 4.00 scale are also eligible to apply.
Master of Business Administration MBA Agri. Business	• Candidates must have cleared B. V. Sc. & A. H., B. E. (Agril. Engineering), B.Sc. (Agri), B. Sc. (Dairy Science), B. F. Sc. or B. Sc. (Forestry), B. Sc. (Home Science) of four year duration and secured at least an OGPA as 2.60 in 4.00 scale or 6.70 in 10.00 scale or 48.90%.• Candidates who have 5 years of work experience will get relaxation as: 2.30 under 6.42 scale or 7.16 under 10.00 scale or simply 45.10% of marks.
PhD (Veterinary Science)	Candidates must have cleared M. V. Sc exam from this university or a university recognized by this university are eligible to apply. Candidates must have secured minimum CGPA of 3.00 under 4.00 scale or 7.38 under 10.00 scale or simply 58.00% of marks.
PhD ( Agriculture and Home Science)	• Candidates must have cleared M. Sc. (Agri)/M. Sc. (H. Sc.) from this university or a university recognized by this university, are eligible to apply. Candidates must have secured minimum OGPA of 3.00 under 4.00 scale or 7.38 under 10.00 scale or simply 58.00% of marks.• Candidates who have 5 years of work experience will get relaxation as : 2.85 under 4.00 scale or 7.16 under 10.00 scale or simply 55.10% of marks.
