AMU Admission 2023: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is a prestigious university which offers admission into the various UG and PG courses. Candidates will be required to apply through the online mode specifying their course which they wish to pursue from the university. The disciplines in which candidates can take admissions are Arts, Science, Social Sciences, Commerce, Engineering & Technology, Agricultural Sciences, Law, etc. The admission in some courses will be offered on the basis of the admission test, in some other on the basis of departmental test and into some courses on the basis of qualifying exam.

AMU 2023 Eligibility Criteria
- The eligibility criteria for AMU admission 2023 will be different for different courses.
- However, the candidates should have completed their higher secondary education (class 12th) in order to take admission in the UG programmes.
- To be eligible to take admission in the PG courses, candidates should complete their graduation in the relevant discipline.
- Appearing candidates are also eligible.
AMU 2023 Application Form
The application form for AMU admission 2023 will be released on the official website of the university. The candidates will have to fill and submit their application form only in online mode. First, the candidates will have to register themselves using their name and email id. After successful registration, the applicants can login to their account to fill the application. In the application form, the candidates will have to provide all the necessary information asked such as personal details, academic qualifications, contact details, etc. The candidates will also have to upload their photograph, signature and thumb impression in scanned format into the application form. Scanned copies of other important certificates should also be uploaded in the form. After providing all the details asked, the candidates can submit the form. The candidates can apply for multiple courses through a single registration.
Details of the Application Fee
Candidates can submit the application fee through the credit card, debit card or net banking. The required application fee for different courses is given below:
- For B.Tech, BA.LLB and MBA will be Rs. 600/-.
- For B.Arch will be Rs. 700/-.
- For Diploma in Engineering will be 500/-.
- For MBBS and BDS will be Rs 550/-.
- For other courses, Rs. 400/-.
AMU Admission 2023 Exam Pattern
The exam will be conducted in offline mode and the medium of the question paper will be English. For certain exams, the time duration will be 2 hours and for other it will be 3 hours. The number of questions asked in the paper will vary for different courses. Each question will carry 1 mark and there will also be a provision for negative marking. 25% of the marks allotted to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Admit Card
The admit card will be released in online mode and the candidates will be able to download it from the official website. It is expected that the admit card will be released one or two weeks before the exam date. The candidate must check for nay discrepancy in the admit card and if found, must communicate it to the relevant authorities. The candidate must carry the admit card to the exam center on the day of exam. The details of the exam center can also be found on the admit card itself. In any case, the candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam in the absence of admit card.
AMU Admission 2023 Result
Around one month after the completion of the test, the result will be declared. The result will be announced in online mode on the official website of the university. The candidates can check their result using their roll number, date of birth or any other details as required. Depending on the marks secured by the candidates in the admission/ departmental test, a merit list will be prepared. For the courses for which no test is conducted, merit list will be prepared on the basis of the qualifying exam. The candidates will then be invited for counseling as per the merit list.
Counseling and Admission
The list of the candidates shortlisted for interview/ group discussion/ counselling (whichever is applicable) will be displayed on the notice boards of the concerned Department/ Faculty/ College/ Centre/ Proctor’s Office/ Controller’s website. The candidate must report for interview/ GD/ counseling as per the specified schedule along with the required documents. The candidates will have to provide their choice for course and branch at the time of counseling. The admission will be provide to them on the basis of their ranking, choices made and fulfillment of eligibility or other criteria.
