The Veterinary Council of India is responsible for regulating the practice of veterinary medicine in India. Candidates who want to study Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry at the undergraduate level can apply for the All-India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT).
Earlier the AIPVT exam was conducted by VCI but in the year 2017, it was replaced with NEET- UG. So, candidates who want to become registered veterinarians in India, are required to clear the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET-UG).
Admission will be provided to candidates in B.V.Sc & A.H degree programmes into a veterinary college. The duration of B.V.Sc & A.H degree courses lasts five and a half years, with a one-year mandatory internship. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for AIPVT 2024/NEET-UG as per the prescribed schedule.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates have to satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria set by the conducting authority before applying for the exam.
The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
The minimum age limit to apply for the exam is 17 years.
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from any recognized board or university.
AIPVT Application Form 2024
Eligible candidates can apply for the exam via online mode. The authority will not entertain any offline application mode. It is expected that the application form will be released in March 2024. Candidates should visit the official website and fill in the required details in the application form.
They have to upload the scanned images of passport size photographs, and signatures in the prescribed format. Don’t forget to take the printout of the duly filled form and keep it safe for future reference.

Selection and Admission Process
AIPVT 2024 selection process will include various steps including application submission qualifying NEET exam etc. Qualified candidates will have to appear in counselling and other rounds. The final selection will be based on the Merit list and the availability of seats in the respective college.
Candidates who will score good marks in the exam will be considered for admission. Candidates should keep the following documents ready for the admission process.

AIPVT Counselling Process
The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) will start the counselling process after the announcement of the result. Candidates have to appear in the counselling round as per their Merit rank. At the time of counselling candidates have to bring some documents such as NEET scorecard, 12th mark sheet and certificate, migration certificate, birth certificate, etc.
Seats will be allotted to qualified applicants in the first round of AIPVT counselling and reports for admission within the given dates.
