The All India Entrance Examination for Design 2024 or AIEED 2024 is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the ARCH College of Design and Business. The aim of this test is to check the abilities of candidates who are looking to pursue a career in design.

AIEED offers admission to UG and PG design courses in some of the top colleges in India. The exam is conducted in two phases i.e. an online test and a subsequent online interview round. AIEED Eligibility Criteria 2024

The eligibility criteria are different for UG and PG courses as explained below.

For UG Courses

• Candidates must have passed or appeared for the 10+2 examination from a recognized board of education.
• Those students who have passed or cleared the 11^th class examination can also appear for the exam. However, they will get admission in the 2025-26 session.

For PG Courses

• Graduates or students pursuing graduation in any field can apply for this examination.

Application Process

• Firstly, you should visit the official website of AIEED i.e. www.aieed.com.
• Click on the ‘Apply now’ button from the homepage.
• In the next step, you must fill in your personal details such as name, email address, phone number, and date of birth.
• Select the examination slot as per your comfort.
• Choose the course and campus preference
• Upload your photograph and signature in the prescribed format and size.
• Pay the application fee in online mode.
• Finally, submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.

Application Fee

• The application fee is Rs. 3000/- for all candidates.
• You may pay the application fee online using a credit/ debit card or Internet banking.

Admit Card

• Aspirants will be able to download their admit cards online through the official website.
• Authorities will also send links to download the admit card via SMS.
• To download the admit card, candidates will have to sign in using their Registered ID and Password.
• Information such as roll number, examination date, and time will be mentioned on the admit card.

AIEED Screening Test

• The AIEED screening test consists of the following 3 stages.
  • Psychological Endowment for Design (PED)
  • Portfolio of Abilities (PoA)
  • Statement of Purpose (SoP)
• The PED test measures a candidate’s aptitude for design-related fields.
• On the other hand, the PoA evaluates the aspirant’s creative and technical skills
• The SoP assesses a candidate’s motivation and goals for pursuing a career in design.

Counselling for Design Studies/ AIEED Interview

• After the screening test, authorities will conduct the counselling/ interview session.
• During this selection process, the student and parents are required to interact with the selection team.
• This interaction helps the selection team understand the student’s aspirations, goals, and interests.
• The interview is designed to assess the student’s potential and suitability for a career in design.

Result and Admission

• After conducting interviews, the institute will prepare the merit list of candidates shortlisted for admission.
• In the merit list, 80% weightage will be given to AIEED Screening Test (PED, PoA, and SoA) while 20% weightage will be given to Counselling/ interview.
• Candidates having more than cut-off marks will be invited to complete the admission formalities.
• Selection letters will also be rolled out in the name of candidates shortlisted for admission.
• The final admission will be offered only after the verification of documents and payment of fees.
