NITTTR Chennai Phd course 2021 Eligibility Criteria

For PhD in engineering discipiline

1) Applicants must be Master’s Degree holder in Engineering or any other stream correlated to Engineering Education.

2) Candidate must have qualified required examination with minimum of 50% marks.

3) Applicants have to submit their eligibility criteria which will be achieved from Registrar of University of Madras, if the applicants have passed their qualifying examination. They need to send it along with application form.

(5) NRIs applicants have to provide Research Visa which they can get from the HRD (Department of Human Resource Development, Ministry of Education), Government of India, and New Delhi in order to attain enrollment in PhD Programme.

NITTTR Chennai Phd programme selection process:

Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of written exam and PI Conducted by institute itself. From these two rounds candidate’s capabilities will be checked. So, eligible and interested applicants are advised to give their best in the written and personal interview round. Once the candidate is selected, they will be sent for approval of the University.

NITTTR Chennai Phd programme time duration:

Full time Course: An applicant registered as a full time Ph.D. programme should work constantly, in the institute under the director regarding for at least 3 years after provisional registration before submission of their thesis.

Part time Course: An applicant registered for Ph.D. Degree programme as a part-time (both internal as well as external) needs to work for at least of 4 years after provisional registration before submission of their thesis.

Programme Exemption: Exemption of one year from minimum time period required is permitted in case of applicants who hold degree in M.Phil or M. Literature or Master’s Degree in the faculties of Law, Technology, Engineering, and Architecture.

For candidates having Foreign Citizenship – Rs.10, 000/- (without Installment)

Required fee for Full Time students

For candidates having Indian Citizenship– Rs.10, 000/- for each semester

For candidates having Foreign Citizenship – Rs.50, 000/- for each semester

Required fee for Part Time students

For candidates having Indian Citizenship

(a) Teacher applicants need to pay Rs.10, 000/- for each semester

(b) Non-Teacher applicants need to pay Rs.20, 000/- for each semester

How to apply for NITTTR Chennai PhD Programme 2021?

Follow below steps in order to apply for NITTTR Chennai PhD Programme for academic year 2021-2022:

1) Candidate needs to get application form available at University Enquiry Office by giving certain amount of Rs. 1,000/ as NITTTR Chennai PhD application fee.

2) After receiving t he application form, candidates are advised to fill the entire form correctly and then send duly filled form along with attested copies of all required documents to THE DIRECTOR, NITTTR, Taramani, Chennai – 600 113.

3) Candidate has to pay NITTTR Chennai PhD Programme application fee via DD from any Nationalized Bank in favor of “The Registrar, University of Madras, Chennai – 600 005”

4) Applicants make sure that they pay the money via Demand Draft only because postal order and Money order are outlawed.
