Daman and Diu ITI Admission 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Those who meet the eligibility criteria prescribed below can apply for Daman and Diu ITI admission 2023:

Nationality:

• Candidates of Indian nationality are only eligible to apply.

Domicile:

Candidate should meet the any of following domicile criteria:

• Residing in Daman/ Diu for a period of at least two years preceding the year of the application
• Children of parents (both) who are born in Daman/ Diu and who are serving in the Armed forces provided that such children pass their qualifying exam under the Central board of education
• Children of the Freedom Fighters registered in the Home Department in the Administration of Daman & Diu
• Children of the Central/ State/ Union Territory Govt. employee posted in Daman/ Diu

Age limit:

• The lower and upper age limit for the candidates is 14 and 30 years respectively.
• A relaxation of 3 years will be given to candidates of SC category and 5 years to the candidates of ST category in the upper age limit.

Academic qualification:

For non-engineering trade:

• 1-year Cutting & Tailoring: A pass in class 8th exam is required in order to be eligible.

For engineering trade:

• 1-year Plastic Welder (Gas & Electricals), Diesel Mechanic and Processing Operator: The candidates should have passed their class 10th or equivalent exam.
• 1-year Computer Operator & Programming Assistant: Those who have passed their class 12th exam or hold a 3-year diploma in any branch of engineering after 10th can apply.
• 2-year Wireman: Applicants should have cleared their class 10th or equivalent exam with Science as a subject to be eligible.
• 2-year Turner and Fitter: The candidates should have passed their class 10th or its equivalent.
• 2-year Information Technology & Electronics System Maintenance: A pass in class 10th or equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics and Science.
• 2-year Electrician, Refrigerator & Air Conditioner Mechanic and Electronics Mechanic: Those who have cleared their class 10th exam with Science and Mathematics are eligible to apply.

Medical fitness:

Candidates should be medically fit in order to be eligible for admissions. A medical certificate by a Medical Officer of Govt. Hospital to the effect that the candidate is fit to join the institute should be submitted at the time of admission.

Daman and Diu ITI Admission 2023 Application Form

The application form for Daman and Diu ITI admission 2023 will be released on the official website www.itidaman.in. Other than this, the application form can also be obtained from the Office of the Principal, Industrial Training Institute, Ringanwada, Daman or Group Instructor, Industrial Training Institute, Ghoghla, Diu.

• To fill the application form, the candidates will have to provide their basic personal, academic and contact details.
• Candidates also need to provide their choice for trade and institute at the time of filling the application form.
• Care should be taken by the candidates to not make any error in the application form or else it might get rejected.
• Application form complete in every manner can then be submitted along with the required fee and important documents.
• Application form, fee and the documents should be submitted to Principal, Industrial Training Institute, Daman for Trades at ITI Daman or Group Instructor, ITI Diu for Trade at ITI Diu on or before the prescribed last date.
• A copy of the filled-in application form should also be kept by the candidates in case of future reference.

Application fee:

• The application fee will be Rs. 50/- and once submitted it will not be refunded in any condition.
• Payment of the application fee can be done through demand draft sent along with the printout of the application form.

• The merit list of the candidates who have submitted their application form successfully will be drawn on the basis of their marks in the qualifying exam.

• Counseling and other process of admission will be carried out as per the names of the candidates in the merit list.

Selection Process of Daman & Diu ITI 2023

• Counseling of the candidates whose names are in the merit list will be conducted as per the schedule decided by the authorities.
• Details regarding the counseling process such as schedule, venue, etc will be communicated to the candidates via the official website.
• At the time of counseling, the candidates must report with all the important documents in original.

Answer: No entrance test will be conducted for selection. However, admitted candidates will have to appear for and clear an aptitude test conducted by the institutes.
